sticky-yellowThe Elden Beast's grab attack pins the Tarnished by the wrists on an Arc of light, and impales us through the same region of the body as Marika is, before then bombarding us with many more smaller spears of light and then proceeding to trap is in a singularity and exploding us. The first half of the attack leaves us in the same state Marika is trapped in.
sticky-yellowThe Scadutree Avatar's eyes closely resemble that of the Pleiades Star Cluster, a group of stars who are notable for having a predicted unusually short lifespan, while still being young stars themselves, and are among the brightest in the sky.

sticky-redIf the elden Beast is the Elden Ring and the concept of Order made manifest, then Marika shattering the ring directly harmed the Beast. Once Radagon attempted to repair it, it seems likely the Elden Beast was able to manifest, and it carried out Marika's crucifixion, impalement, and imprisoning within the Erdtree, either as literal punishment for what she had done, or perhaps it was simpler, a wounded animal lashing out at it's attacker.
